Sharon lives with her husband and two boys in Stowmarket, where she works as a free-lance artist. She studied at The Anglia Polytechnic University in Cambridge, gaining a BA degree in illustration. For the last seven years she has been producing paintings for ‘Queen Bee Designs’ – a greeting card company specialising in bespoke Christmas cards for charity shops. Acrylic painting is her preferred medium, but she also produces the occasional piece of artwork in watercolor, pastel and pencil.
The subject of her art are varied: from portraits of people and animals, landscapes and buildings, even the odd caricature. Preferring a realistic style to the abstract or impressionistic, her paintings are truthful rather than fantastical with a focus on detail.
She recently appeared on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ alongside her twin sister Louise Cobbold, where they produced a live painting of Simon Cowell (upside-down) on stage, whilst generally acting pretty silly.
When she’s not painting, she can be found stroking her cat Trixie, or running round after her boys, attending ‘The Forge’ Christian Community Church, or at ballet classes!
