Laura Beardsell-Moore is an artist living and working in Suffolk.
I specialise in oil paintings inspired by the gardens, fields and woodlands around me. Many of my subjects are from my home county of Suffolk but I am often inspired by other places too.
I am passionate about painting and sharing that love of painting with others. In the past I have taught art at GCSE and A Level and have also taught BA (hons) Fine Art students at degree level. I love sharing my art experience with others and helping them get enjoyment from it.
After completing an Art Foundation, I spent a further three years studying for a BA (hons) in Art and History of Art at the Winchester School of Art. I went on to complete a Masters Degree in Contemporary Art, Criticism and Philosophy at the University of Essex. More recently I completed a course at Central St Martins specialising in colour theory.
Animals, trees and flowers are my favourite subject to paint but I also paint local landscapes and still lives. I hope my paintings will give others pleasure and add to an appreciation of the environment around us.
My love of animals and nature has also inspired me to turn some of my paintings into prints, cards and homewares.
